Prices for my Rob Roy-style sporrans start at $135 for the sporran body with internal pocket, key keeper and one flap, and $25 for each additional leather flap that ships with the initial order. Add $10.00 for US shipping and handling. For international shipping is calculated based on actual costs.
I offer three sizes of sporran bodies to scale it to your frame. Standard size is smallest, and works well for most men. If you are a "gentleman of substance", the larger 2 sizes add $5 and $10, respectively, to the cost. Ladies bags typically are the largest size. (Well, c'mon! Ladies tend to carry more stuff than we guys.)
Flaps ordered separately cost $30 for the first and $25 for any others in the same order. This price includes domestic shipping. Again, international customers only pay the actual shipping charges.
Every sporran comes with a leather cell phone pocket and pen holder sewn into the backside. Thong ends are inexpensive but attractive beads. Fancy tassels in leather, fur, or horsehair, with steel or cast pewter ball caps are available for $15 to $40, depending on the combination, respectively.
The flaps on most of my sporrans are removable and interchangeable (hence the name Snap-Flap Convertible Sporran(TM), duh). This allows you to customize the sporran with different kilts or accessories without having the expense of multiple sporrans. Many customers get one flap in a leather to match the sporran body, and a second in the same tartan as their kilt. A second leather flap in a complementary color is also an option.
The cost for tartan flaps is $30 ($35 if shipped separately). I don't stock tartan for flaps (although sometimes I have a piece or two extra). The buyer would have to supply a swatch, or I'd have to charge more for the flap if I have to buy the tartan myself.
Pricing for fur sporrans varies with the type of sporran and type or cost of the pelt. A standard day sporran in fur (flap closure, fur front) starts at $195. A full mask sporran may run from $345 and up, again depending on the type of fur and tassels desired. The full mask sporrans are also Snap Flap models. A second flap can be made in leather for $30, or in fur for $45. Formal sporrans with cast pewter cantles vary from $300 to $395 and up, depending on fur type and tassel details.
All fur sporrans include one internal pocket, with a key keeper on request. These are truly custom and pricing is worked out upon agreement on the features.
Options? Oh yes, we got some. Starting at $10, I can sew a second pocket inside the front panel on my Rob Roy model, suitable for business cards, or a normal cell phone. One customer wanted it to carry his business and credit cards. Another wanted the ability to hold his Palm Treo, thumb drive, pen knife, chapstick, and business cards. The cost of custom pockets depends on the complexity.
Fancy tassels for the Rob Roy model are another option, ranging from $15 for leather with steel balls to $40 for pewter cones with fur or horsehair, on chains (not for drawstring style; those would be on cord).
Other ideas you want in your sporran? Talk to me. A different type of sporran? Talk to me. If I can do it I will. If I feel you can do better elsewhere I'll tell you.
Paypal is the easiest way to pay me. Even if you don't have an Paypal account, I can invoice you through Paypal and you can pay with credit card or bank account at your preference. I also accept postal money orders or cashiers checks. Cash works, but you probably don't want to send that in the mail. Once we agree on your design and the cost, a $50 to $100 deposit (depends on total order) secures you a place in the queue, with the balance due on shipping.
Your total price will also reflect Paypal fees of 3% (domestic) or 4% (international payment includes currency conversion). I'd rather explain this up front than just jack up the shipping charge to cover the cost.
