Prices for my Rob Roy-style sporrans start at $115 for the sporran body with internal pocket and one flap, and $24 for each additional flap that ships with the initial order. Add $9.00 for US shipping . For international shipping I only charge the difference plus any fees that may pertain.
Flaps ordered separately cost $26 for the first and $24 for any others in the same order. This price includes domestic shipping. Again, international customers only pay the actual shipping charges.
Every sporran comes with a leather cell phone sized pocket and pen holder sewn into the backside.
The flaps on most of my sporrans are removable and interchangeable (hence the name Snap-Flap Convertible Sporran(TM), duh). This lets you customize the sporran with different kilts or accessories without having the expense of multiple sporrans. Most of my customers get one flap in a leather to match the sporran body, and a second in the same tartan as their kilt (look at the banner above and the pictures in the gallery!)
That being said, I make more flaps in different leather colors than in tartan, because I generally don't stock tartans (although sometimes I have a piece or two extra). The buyer would have to supply a swatch, or I'd have to charge more for the flap if I have to buy the tartan myself.
Options? Oh yes, we got some. Starting at $10, I can sew a second pocket inside the front panel, sized to your personal needs. One customer wants it to carry his business and credit cards. Another wanted the ability to hold his Palm Treo, thumb drive, pen knife, chapstick, and business cards. That was a $25 option.
Ever feel weird digging around in the bottom of your sporran for car keys? Like, "What does this look like to someone behind me"? For $5 extra I can sew a quick-release key keeper into the top of the pouch for easy key retrieval.
Other Ideas you want in your sporran? Talk to me. A different type of sporran? Talk to me. If I can do it I will. If I feel you can do better elsewhere I'll tell you.
I can invoice you through PAYPAL, even if you don't have an Paypal account. That is the easiest way to pay me. I'll also take postal money orders or cashiers checks. Cash works, but you probably don't want to send that in the mail. Once we agree on your design and the cost, a $50 deposit secures you a place in the queue, with the balance due on shipping.
Your total price will also reflect Paypal fees of 2.9% (domestic) or 3.9% (international payment includes currency conversion). I'd rather explain this up front than just jack up the shipping charge to cover the cost.
cheers,
